How To Reduce Fat Without Losing Muscle - Burn Off Fat, NOT Muscle
A little while ago, I covered how to reduce fat. The truth is, there’s another important topic that always must be covered right together with it. And that is certainly: how to reduce fat WITHOUT losing muscle.

Wait… what? !? !? ! Did I simply imply that you could lose your pretty hard-earned lean body mass while only attempting to lose your ugly excess fat? ?? Yup, I sure did. It’s happened for me and countless others lots of times, and it may definitely occur to you.

To comprehend how and why you could do and (most importantly) preventing it from happening, you need to comprehend an essential fact…

Weight Reduction vs Weight Loss: It’s NOT Exactly The Same Thing!

People often say they would like to shed weight. Because “weight” can be a few different things, this is sort of a dumb statement. For example… water, glycogen, muscle or fat. Hell, you are able to stop a leg and you’ll lose “weight” perfectly.

The truth is however, what many of us wish to lose is fat, NOT muscle.

There is just one major requirement… a caloric deficit,. That is now, despite some of the crazy things you may have heard before about how to lose fat, the truth.

As I’ve explained 1000 times before (for instance: Calories In vs Calories Out), a caloric deficit is exactly what comes about when you take in less calories than your system needs to shed for energy performing all the tasks it requires to perform during the period of your day (move, breathe, pump blood, digest food, etc.).

When that caloric deficit exists, the body needs to discover some alternative supply of energy on your own body to shed instead. Ideally, this could Just be your ugly stored excess fat. It can also be your pretty lean muscle tissue, however.
